Employee Assistance Programme
All school staff and trustees in Christchurch can use the Ministry’s Employee Assistance Programme for free, confidential, professional counselling and support.
To support school staff and trustees as they recover from the latest earthquakes in Canterbury, the Ministry is continuing to offer its Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to:
- all boards of trustees in Christchurch, and
- all staff at Christchurch schools that don’t have their own EAP or similar service.
EAP is a confidential service with professional counsellors. The first three sessions are free for the person getting the service. After these three sessions, EAP will recommend whether more free sessions or referral to another service is needed.
