Year 2 schools to be connected to fibre

Chorus has announced the next list of schools to be connected to fibre from 1 July 2012 to 30 June 2013 (Year 2).

Some 502 Year 2 urban schools [PDF; 74kb] are planned to be connected to fibre under the Ultra-fast Broadband (UFB) initiative. For more information on UFB, please visit the Chorus website UFB page.

Another 191 Year 2 rural schools [PDF; 52kb] are planned to be connected under the Rural Broadband Initiative (RBI). More information on RBI can be found on the RBI section of the Chorus website.

The Ministry of Education will send these schools information packs about the connection process. Schools can also contact the Ultra-fast Broadband Helpline on 0800 22 55 42 or email ufb.schools@minedu.govt.nz for additional support.
