Ministerial Cross-Sector Forum on Raising Achievement

The Minister of Education, Hon Hekia Parata established the Ministerial Cross-Sector Forum on Raising Achievement in June 2012. The purpose of the Forum is to provide collaborative cross-sector leadership and advice to the Minister on raising achievement for 5 out of 5 learners.

The Forum has met regularly since June 2012 to consider key issues in education.

In 2015 the Forum will bring together together leaders from across the system to share and exchange information, and to advise on the education work programme which supports the Minister of Education’s priorities. It is intended that members will share this information with their community.

There will be both National and Regional Forums. This complementary focus will help to give effect to the Minister’s priorities and associated work programme in a wide range of settings.

In 2015 the National Forum will meet four times in Wellington on 13 March, 19 June, 4 September and 4 December. In turn the Regional Forums will also meet four times in each region.
