Years 9 and 10

In Years 9 and 10 teachers use a range of methods to assess student progress depending on what is most appropriate for their students.

Here are some examples:

PATs (Progressive Achievement Tests) Used to assess reading vocabulary and comprehension, listening comprehension and mathematical ability
asTTle (Assessment tools for learning / He Pūnaha Aromatawai m`l te Whakaako me te Ako) Computer tools used to assess reading, writing and mathematical ability
STAR (Supplementary Tests of Achievement in Reading) Used to assess word recognition, sentence comprehension, paragraph comprehension, vocabulary and reading different writing styles
