Types of ECE service
There are two main types of service – teacher-led and parent-led. When choosing where to enrol your child, it is helpful to understand the difference between the two.
Different early childhood services have different names for the people in charge of looking after your child. In this section, the word “teacher” also refers to a supervisor, educator, parent, kaiāwhina, kaiako, leader, staff member, or person in charge.
