Better Outcomes for Children

Better Outcomes for Children is an internal action plan for GSE 2006 - 2011. It is about raising achievement and improving services for the children who are eligible for specialist services from Special Education.

Better Outcomes for Children describes important outcomes for children, ways to collect better information on these outcomes within the Ministry, and key actions to strengthen service provision in order to improve outcomes. The plan will guide the work of Special Education staff until 2011.

Better Outcomes for Children projects are being managed by different parts of Special Education and they may take several years to complete. All projects are overseen and coordinated by David Pluck (seconded from the position of District Manager Marlborough/Nelson/West Coast district office).
