3) How and when will you recover overused staffing?

If you have overused staffing at the end of the banking staffing year (pay-period _22), and you remain overused for the year after the time period for balancing ends at pay-period _26, we will recover the cost of overuse out of the school's operations funds. Repayment is presently based on $53,000 per full-time teacher equivalent (FTTE) per year. In other words, $53,000 will be recovered for each 26.00 FTTE you have overused. As an example, if you have overused by 1.00 FTTE you will be charged $53,000 x 1/26th (1.00 FTTE divided by 26 pay-periods).

We will advise boards in writing of any required repayment and when they can expect to have this cost deducted from their operational funding. We will not know final overuse positions until pay-period _26 is run. The earliest opportunity for us to recover the cost of any overuse is the Operational Funding instalment due on 1 July of that year.
