Extraordinary roll growth

Boards seeking funding adjustments for roll growth after funding has been recalculated using the July actual roll in primary schools and the March actual roll in intermediate schools can do so through the Extraordinary Roll Growth application process.

What is the trigger point?

The following table shows the normal trigger points for Extraordinary Roll Growth funding adjustments:

School type Trigger point
Primary An increase of more than twice the July new entrant adjustment.
Intermediate An increase in the monthly average roll.

Application deadline

Extraordinary Roll Growth funding adjustments for the current funding year will only be considered between 1 November and 15 November of the current funding year.
