7 Leave to remove dependants and effects

The following provisions apply when a teacher has left dependants at the former location pending the finding of suitable housing:

1. Special leave on pay may be granted by the teacher's new employing board to permit the teacher to return to the former centre to assist with the transfer of dependants and effects.
2. The teacher will only be entitled to claim the lesser of a motor vehicle allowance or equivalent fares otherwise normal public transport is to be used.
3. A refund of actual and reasonable expenses may be approved by the Resourcing Division for meals en route but not for meals taken before departure or on arrival. Other incidental expenses incurred while travelling are not refunded.
