Property Management
The Property Group manages the state school property portfolio that comprises around 2,300 schools. This includes providing to schools an annual capital works programme of around $500 million and providing both advice to Government and support to schools on the management of the portfolio. The Group provides funding and information, to enable Boards to provide the property solutions that will best support education at their schools.

In conjunction with the Education Minister's announcement, the Ministry is introducing changes to property project thresholds to make it easier for schools to complete projects. These changes are outlined in more detail here, with further changes expected on 31 July with the release of an improved property website.
