Planning and Reporting - Frequently asked Questions
The Policy, the Process, the Paperwork - frequently asked questions about planning and reporting requirements are answered here.
Introduction
The Introductory section of the Charter could cover the following areas:
- Who we are - information about the school, its community, history, location, etc.
- The school vision - this might be articulated in terms of aims, or ideals, or school philosophy, or community values, etc. (The school community will often choose to capture this in a mission statement.)
The Charter must include a section on the how the Board will recognise New Zealand's cultural diversity and, in particular, how it will provide learning opportunities in Tikanga Mäori and Te Reo Mäori.
Integrated schools, designated character schools, and Kura Kaupapa Mäori must include objectives related to their special character.
These two sections could be included in the introductory section.
