Background
Bush District Community Education Planning is a process of community consultation about the future of education provision. It has been developed by the Ministry of Education and was initiated in the Bush District following approaches from some schools in the area.
The process allows for an independent facilitator to be engaged to work with the community and the Ministry of Education to develop a community vision for education and then a plan for achieving that vision. The Ministry of Education then presents the vision and the plan together with its own advice to the Minster of Education.
This process will involve everyone with an interest in education in the Bush District, including parents, whanau, students, iwi, teachers, early childhood educators, tertiary providers, local business people, and the Tararua District Council.
