How to develop a pandemic plan

The pandemic plan templates are step-by-step guides to help early childhood centres, schools and tertiary education organisations develop their own pandemic plans.

The pandemic plan and resources are as follows

  • Pandemic plan for ECE, schools and TEOs (in Word format)
  • Action plan for hostels (in Word format)
  • For schools with international students.

The pandemic plan consists of three separate documents that all work together; and once completed, can serve as your pandemic lan.

The three documents in each pandemic plan are as follows:

  1. Document one: plan for a pandemic
  2. Document two: prepare, respond and recover
  3. Document three: supporting document.

Each of these documents are available under Related downloads below.

It is expected that each ECE/school/TEO will use the Planning Guide for ECE/schools/TEOs and the support material available in the Pandemic Planning Kit; and also undertake wider research to ensure their pandemic plan covers the unique needs of their ECE/school/TEO.

These resources are available:

  • The revised pandemic plan, consisting of three documents, which are available to download below.
  • Pandemic action plan for hostels.
  • Guidelines for schools with international students.
