STAR Excluded List (SEL)
Information about those areas excluded from STAR funding.
The STAR Excluded List (SEL) provides guidance to schools on the range of learning considered ineligible for STAR funding. The current SEL is attached to this page.
Should a school wish to purchase learning from an area contained on the SEL, an exemption application is to be made. The completed exemption form must explain how the proposed course relates to the student's specific career pathway and transition to work or further learning, and involve consultation with the regional STAR advisor. The exemption process will be done on a student-by-student basis, and not for whole class groups. The exemption form, including instructions on how to apply, is attached to this page.
