Early Notification
The Early Notification (EN) service automatically contacts parents (via email, text or automated phone calls) whose children are missing from school. It is linked to a school’s electronic Attendance Register (eAR) module that is part of the school's Student Management System (SMS).
The EN service allows schools to customise messages to groups of parents/caregivers to quickly inform them of unexplained absences and a return path to the SMS's register to update the reasons for a student’s absence. The manual alternative to obtaining these explanations is very time-consuming, as it involves telephoning each caregiver.
