21st Century Learner: A glimpse of the future (DVD)

The DVD 21st Century Learner: A glimpse of the future has been distributed to schools and provides an opportunity for the school community to take a journey into the future, showing the likely impact of information communication technologies (ICT) on classrooms over the next few years. The DVD outlines the ways in which schools can use and are using ICT in innovative ways to improve teaching and learning.

The Ministry has recently released a DVD 21st Century Learner: A glimpse of the Future. This DVD provides an opportunity to the schooling community on a journey into the future, showing the likely impact of information communication technologies (ICT) on classrooms over the next few years. The DVD outlines the ways in which schools can use and are using ICT in innovative ways to improve teaching and learning.

The DVD is structured around what learning might look like when schools are part of communication and learning networks: It provides examples in the four areas of:

  • Connectivity
  • Access to information
  • Relationships with the community
  • Capability building

It supports the Ministry's e-Learning action plan published in 2006.
