Conference objectives

The conference will:

  • Bring together digital learning resource developers and users to foster understanding of the technology's capabilities.
  • Present New Zealand and international case studies and examples to inspire new approaches that enrich learners' experiences and enhance curriculum design and delivery.
  • Advise on practical issues such as copyright, accessibility and design.
  • Show how standards help create resources that can be found, aggregated and reused.

Conference themes

Authoring

Structured versus user-driven approaches, interactive open standards/open source/open access, copyright and creative commons, accessibility issues, authoring with limited resources, and design basics.

Storing

Resource metadata and associated description and discovery standards, institutional repositories, discovery and reuse examples.

Using

Digital content's role in school, tertiary, industry learning, New Zealand's current e-research focus, industry training initiatives, and integrating digital resources with managed learning environments.
