Introduction

We are proud to announce that Standards New Zealand (SNZ) and premier sponsor New Zealand Ministry of Education will host the SC36 Plenary taking place in Wellington, New Zealand from 21 - 26 March 2009.

Dates

The ISO/IEC JTC1 SC36 meetings take place over six days, commencing Saturday 21 March and concluding Thursday 26 March 2009.

The Ministry of Education will also be hosting a significant event, 'A day in the life of a digital learning resource: from access to reuse' on 19 March 2009. Information on this one-day conference is available on the Ministry of Education's website - www.minedu.govt.nz/DayIntheLife.

The conference aims to bring together experts and practitioners from the eLearning field to explore the latest and best practice in using and reusing instructional tools. It promises to be a great event with case studies, demonstrations of new tools and technologies, thought-provoking discussion and debate, and exciting keynote speakers.

Venue

The Plenary and WG meetings will be held in the TelstraClear Centre, Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa.

The Museum of New Zealand Te Pap Tongarewa, locally known as Te Papa, features all the amenities of a modern congress centre. It is located in the heart of the city and is easily reached from the Wellington region by public transport.
