Designing Careers Pilot

Evaluation of Designing Careers Pilot - May 2006. The Designing Careers Pilot was part of the government's Youth Transitions Strategy aimed at assisting young people to make more successful transitions from school to higher education, training or work.

This evaluation was conducted by the Education Review Office, under contract to the Ministry of Education. The evaluation included surveying the 75 schools involved in the 18 month Pilot, and on-site visits to 22 case study schools. This final report evaluates the implementation of the Pilot and identifies the key features of effective delivery of whole-school careers education, planning and guidance.
