Key Services

• Ensure appropriate assistance is provided to schools with identified needs, particularly schools with a high Maori population.
• Develop strategies for working with schools to enhance their responsiveness to the needs of Maori communities and to improve educational outcomes for Maori children.
• Ensure positive operational partnerships with schools, school sector groups and communities are established.
• Liaise with Runanga Nui to enhance communication and participation with Kura Kaupapa Maori
• Liaise with Pouwhakataki and Iwi/Maori Liaison Officers to enhance communication with whanau, hapu and iwi.
