Boards of trustees, as employers, are responsible for ensuring that principals, teachers and other school employees have the correct salary and wages delivered to them.

Boards of trustees, as employers, are responsible for ensuring that their teachers and other employees have correct salaries and wages delivered to them, in accordance with the terms and conditions of their employees' respective employment agreements. The Ministry has a contract with Datacom to provide payroll services for all state schools.

The Principal will read and check the staff usage and expenditure (SUE) report provided fortnightly by Education Services Payroll. The board has an important role to play in monitoring this process.
